FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons today moved offensive lineman Renardo Foster to the reserve physically unable to perform list and moved defensive tackle Trey Lewis to the reserve non-football injury list.

Foster, 6-7, 340 pounds, was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Falcons last season. The Louisville alum competed in seven games in 2007 while starting in two at left tackle.

Lewis, 6-3, 323 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. In nine games last season, he recorded 23 tackles (12 solo), one interception and one pass defensed.

The Falcons were in need of two roster moves to reach the NFL’s mandatory 75-man roster limit by today following the release of tight end Brad Listorti (August 11), wide receiver Joe Horn (August 19) and linebacker Isaac Brown (August 19). On Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. (EST), all NFL clubs will be required to reduce their roster size to a maximum of 53 players prior to the start of the regular season.
