FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons today retained the exclusive rights for defensive tackle Montavious Stanley.
Last season, Stanley totaled 35 tackles (25 solo) and two fumble recoveries in his first year with the Falcons after being signed as a free agent on Aug. 28, 2007. He recorded a season-high five stops at Tennessee in Week 5 and tied the mark versus New Orleans in Week 14. Stanley also recovered fumbles against San Francisco in Week 9 and Seattle in Week 17 en route to Atlanta victories.
In two NFL seasons, Stanley has competed in 17 games (five starts) while collaring 39 tackles, a half of a sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
