Falcons-Rams Game Notes

ST. LOUIS -- News, notes and injury updates straight from the Edward Jones Dome press box.

  • Guard Kynan Forney was a late scratch from the game, as he was added to the inactive list a couple of hours before kickoff. Starting in his place was D'Anthony Batiste.
  • INJURY UPDATE: Quarterback Joey Harrington was shaken up after taking a hard hit with 8:24 remaining in the third quarter. Harrington walked off the field holding his right arm. He was attended to by trainers on the sideline, he was able to return to the game the next series without missing any time. After one series of play, however, Harrington left the game with 7 seconds remaining in the third quarter. He was replaced by backup Chris Redman, who finished the game for the Falcons.
  • Redman entered the game in the fourth quarter and completed five of five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown strike to wide receiver Roddy White on his first offensive possession. Redman finished with 172 passing yards on the day, his highest amount since Oct. 6, 2002. His two touchdowns were also the most in a game since Oct. 20, 2002, when he was a member of the Baltimore Ravens.
  • White set a career high and led the team in receiving for the 10th game this season when he finished with 10 catches for 146 yards and one touchdown. The 15-yard TD strike from Redman was White’s fourth score of the year. He is now 80 yards shy of hitting the 1,000-yard mark, which would make him the first Falcons receiver to reach the plateau since Terance Mathis in 1999 (1,016).
