FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta quarterback Chris Redman completed 17 of 27 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns in the Falcons’ 44-41 win over the Seattle Seahawks Sunday. He woke up Monday morning as a finalists for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week.
Redman, who started his first game since the 2003 season earlier this year, led the Falcons to a season-ending victory and finished the year 1-3 as a starter. His performance Sunday marked a career high in touchdown passes and followed up on a solid performance from Week 16.
Redman was near perfect in the final period of last week's game at Arizona, leading scoring drives of 93, 48 and 37 yards to put the Falcons into the holiday spirit. He finished the game 28-of-42 for 315 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. His scoring toss to Alge Crumpler in the fourth quarter tied the game and his 74-yard strike to rookie wide receiver Laurent Robinson in the first half was a career long.
Sunday, Redman hit Crumpler with two touchdown passes and led an offensive explosion that included three scores in 1:40.
