Head Coach Bobby Petrino on the game overall:
“I’m proud of our players on how hard they competed and got themselves ready for the game knowing that it was going to be a hot, hard fought game. There was good excitement on the sidelines and the guys felt like we were going to win the game.  We thought we got ourselves in a position to win the game and it just did not happen. Our defense played hard, our offense moved the ball but we can not have the negative plays that get you out of your drive and certainly, the field goals that we missed killed us.”

Petrino on the Falcons giving up seven sacks:
“It was a combination of times not getting the blocks and times of holding the ball too long. It is definitely a concern of mine. Again, it happens when we have to throw the ball and we have a long way to go.”

Petrino on the play of Joey Harrington:
“Joey did well on offense at times. We really have to take a look at our timing, getting the ball out of our hand and our protection especially on third and long.”

Quarterback Joey Harrington on moving the ball and only scoring once:
“It’s not discouraging. It’s frustrating. There’s a difference. The fact that we have moved the ball for two weeks in a row now and I’m sure we had a couple of 10 or 12 play drives this week too. We know we can move the ball. We’ve shown that.  Now, it’s a matter of finishing off some of those drives.”

Harrington on bouncing back from the loss:
“We have to play better at the right time. It’s obviously frustrating and I would say one play doesn’t win or lose a ball game.”

Tight end Alge Crumpler on missed opportunities:
“I’m pleased with our effort, but disappointed with the way we executed down the stretch. We definitely had some things we could have done better. However, the front four for Jacksonville that showed up today was not necessarily the front that showed up last week when we watched the Tennessee film. That’s what happens when you have Pro Bowlers like (John) Henderson and (Marcus) Stroud. They have so much pride in the way that they play. They stepped up and made plays today and feasted on the opportunity that they had.”

Defensive end John Abraham on defending the run:
“They only had one big run the first half. If you take that away, there was nothing major that killed us. We can only go up from here. We have a big game next week at home and have to work our butts off to get back to where we need to be. Right now, we’re not there.”

Cornerback DeAngelo Hall on the team's leadership stepping up:
“I’ve never been 0-2 in anything so we have to turn it around fast. We’re going home next week and have to protect our house. We can watch the film and make corrections, but we’re going back to our dome at home. Our fans will be behind us and have to try to win for them.”

Kicker Matt Prater on his two missed field goals:
“I don’t really know what went wrong. I have to go back and check the film. I know I had two bad kicks. I have to figure out what I’m doing wrong.  I saw both defenses were playing well and I just didn’t do my job. Hopefully, I’ll bounce back and do my job next week. This is really tough. I put it all on my shoulders. I felt like I let the team down. I didn’t do my part and I feel pretty bad about it.”

Running back Warrick Dunn on his progress after back surgery:
“I still need a couple of more games to get back into football shape. I’m still grinding along the way. My legs feel good, but I’m not quite where I want to me yet.”
