ATLANTA -- Atlanta Falcons Owner and CEO Arthur Blank’s management and investment company is about to launch a new business -- Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers -- that will bring professional-grade physical therapy and sports rehabilitation services to the public beginning this fall.
AMB Group, LLC, announced Wednesday it has secured retail space in Gwinnett County to operate the first in a series of Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers envisioned in Georgia.
The centers will license the Falcons brand and make pro-quality physical therapy and sports rehabilitation services more easily accessible to athletes and non-athletes, from youth to seniors. The first center, expected to open in October, will be a 3,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility located at 1180 Satellite Blvd. in Suwanee.
It was also announced that North Gwinnett High School has named Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers its official provider of athletic training and physical therapy services. Officials of AMB Group are in discussions with other potential partners, including local educational institutions, medical professionals, athletic teams, employers and hospitals.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to give the public the same quality of service the pros receive,” AMB Group Business Development Director Dan Gordon said. “Being able to leverage the strength of the Falcons name and the club’s expertise and experience will be a distinct advantage for us and for our patients. We’re also investing in first-class talent, to be the employer of choice in the category; the best equipment and facilities; and a more comprehensive set of services than what you might typically find at a physical therapy center. We think that adds up to an unrivaled experience.”
Each center will offer outpatient physical therapy by licensed and certified physical therapists as well as industrial rehabilitation for workers injured on the job; injury prevention, to assist companies and individuals with programs to minimize injury; sports massage; fitness services; post-operative rehabilitation; and chronic pain management services. The centers will feature top-of-the-line rehabilitation and workout equipment. Conveniences such as reserved parking and easy access, extended hours and flexible scheduling are also planned.
“This concept is a natural extension of something we do well at the Falcons -- which is physical therapy and sports rehab -- and something we believe in and want to encourage in Georgia, which is wellness and fitness,” Gordon said.
“We see a great partnership ahead with the Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers,” North Gwinnett High School Principal John Green said. “Both organizations want the best care for students, but what truly stands out is their commitment to excellence in every phase of the operation and their desire to provide a valuable service to the community. That aligns perfectly with the leadership skills and values we’re trying to nurture in our students.”
Gordon said Gwinnett has been a great support to the Atlanta Falcons Physical Therapy Centers throughout its planning phase.
“There’s been a can-do attitude at every step," he said. "As a new business locating here, we’re proud to now be part of the Partnership Gwinnett economic development initiative.”
The Physical Therapy Centers professional team also includes Ambrosi-Atlanta (brand development), ASD/Sky Design Inc (architects and graphics); Darden & Company (project management); Leapley Construction; BMS Reimbursement Management; Cybex International (sports rehabilitation equipment); EMPI (medical equipment); Biodex (rehabilitation equipment); Marsh (insurance); King & Spalding (general counsel); and Hartman, Simons, Spielman & Wood (real estate counsel); and Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP (healthcare counsel).
