Vick to be honored on Capitol Hill

Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Michael Vick will join hundreds of parents, children, educators and advocates from around the country in visiting lawmakers on Tuesday, April 24 to urge them to increase federal funding for afterschool programs.

Organized by the Afterschool Alliance, the "Afterschool for All Challenge" will bring together advocates from across the country to voice their support for the afterschool programs that keep kids safe, inspire them to learn and help working families.

The event includes a Breakfast of Champions to honor Vick, whose foundation supports afterschool programs in Georgia and Virginia, as well as congressional and state-based afterschool champions.
