The Falcons added a linebacker to the roster with their first pick of the second day as they selected South Florida's Stephen Nicholas in the fourth round at #109 overall.
Nicholas (6-1, 232 pounds) is considered a high-motor player who earned first team all-Big East Conference honors for the Bulls last season after he posted 102 tackles (77 solo) with 7.5 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. He also had seven pass defenses, one interception and one blocked kick.
In 50 games at USF, he had 45 starts and posted 326 total tackles (212 solo) with 20 career sacks and 15 passes defensed.
