Once again in 2007, Atlantafalcons.com videographer Matt Moore put himself on a pedestal for public mockery before heading to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine. Falcons strength and conditioning coach Evan Marcus along with his assistants - Dave Puloka and the legendary Billy "White Shoes" Johnson - put him through three of the rigorous drills that the over 300 prospects will endure from February 21-27.
Better prepared than he was in 2006, Moore (who passed up the chance to better his two reps at 135 pounds in the bench press and his 27-inch vertical leap from last year) worked hard to be better in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle and the dreaded 3-cone drill. We will leave it up to you (and the official times captured for posterity by the strength staff) to decide for yourself if he accomplished his goal and is truly a NFL Draft-worthy prospect.
And now, we present Matt Moore's 2007 Combine:
| 40-Yard Dash | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Watch Matt | Matt (2007) | Matt (2006) | Decent Time |
| 1st Try: 5.81 seconds | 1st Try: 6.18 seconds | 4.4 seconds | |
| 2nd Try: 5.78 seconds | 2nd Try: 6.22 seconds |
Matt's Comments: I broke 6 seconds! That is all that matters. But I also took a half of a second off of my time. Most athletes would love to say that they took a half a second off of their time. But that being said, most athletes don't run a 5.78 40-yard dash.

| 2nd Try: 8.97 seconds | 2nd Try: 9.20 seconds |
Matt's Comments: About the same as last year. If I had to do it over again I would have worn some cleats. Oh well. Did I mention that I broke six seconds in the 40

Matt's Comments: I feel that this year was better than last year. Shoes even said so! This was my last drill and it was cold. So this year was better! I will just keep telling myself that, I guess.
