Youth Football & Cheerleading Programs
Timeline for Applications Review: Completed proposals must be received by May 1, 2008, for requests to be considered in time for the fall 2008 football & cheerleading season. Organizations will receive notification of award on or before June 30, 2008.
Other Sports Programs and Fitness Activities
Timeline for Applications & Review: For 2008, the Foundation will focus most of its grant making on programs that engage kids during the summer months, when school is not in session. Completed summer program proposals must be received by March 14, 2008. AFYF also accepts proposals for programs that are not focused on the summer months. AFYF accepts proposals for these programs year-round. Applicants are usually notified of a decision within 12 weeks after AFYF receives a completed proposal. To guide organizations seeking a date by which to submit an application, AFYF will accept new proposals for review on the first business day of every month. Applications received late in the calendar year may be considered for funding in the following year.
Healthy Lifestyles
Timeline for Applications & Review: Proposals are accepted year-round. Once AFYF has received a completed application, organizations will receive notification regarding a funding decision in approximately eight weeks. To guide organizations seeking a date by which to submit an application, AFYF will accept new proposals for review on the first business day of every month. Applications received late in the calendar year may be considered for funding in the following year.
Athletic Field Development
Timeline for Applications & Review: The Foundation asks interested organizations to start by submitting a letter of inquiry. The letter of interest should describe the project plan, give budget and timeline estimates, and explain how youth would benefit from the field improvements. The Foundation will invite organizations to submit full proposals.

Signature Program

The Foundation will invite organizations to submit full proposals.
