The Atlanta Falcons and Publix Super Markets have joined forces to help feed needy families this holiday season with the FalCan Food Drive from now until Sunday, with proceeds benefitting the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This year’s program has a special buy-one, get-one opportunity for tickets to the Dec. 15 game at the Georgia Dome against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The holiday season is upon us, and the Atlanta Falcons and Publix Super Markets are determined to put up a fight against hunger with the FalCan Food Drive from now until Sunday.

For anyone familiar with the drive, you’ll likely notice that there are four different components this year.

The FalCan Food Drive School Challenge wrapped up last week with more than 50 schools participating to donate more than 57,000 pounds of canned goods and non-perishables.

This week, all donations made to the Publix Food for Sharing food drive at all Metro Atlanta Publix locations through Sunday will benefit the FalCan Food Drive. Customers who make donations to the food drive are eligible to participate in a special buy-one, get-one offer for Falcons tickets.

When you buy one ticket, you get the second free. These tickets are available at Publix Ticketmaster locations, and customers must have the donation receipt to receive the special offer. Seats are located in the Publix sections at the Dec. 15 game against Jacksonville at the Georgia Dome. Other discounts will also be available in other sections for the Tennessee, Minnesota and Tampa Bay games.

Before Sunday’s game, the Falcons, Publix and the Atlanta Community Food Bank will host a “Biggest Giver” contest at State Farm Falcons Landing from 10 a.m.-12:15 p.m., where fans are encouraged to bring as many canned and/or non-perishable items. The top three “Biggest Givers” will receive some great prizes:

  • Two lower level tickets, two pregame sideline passes and two owner’s club passes to have dinner with Ring of Honor member Jessie Tuggle before the Dec. 15 Falcons vs. Jaguars game.
  • Four pregame sideline passes and four lower level tickets to the Falcons vs. Jaguars game.
  • Autographed Falcons jersey along with two lower level tickets to the December 15th Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game.

As part of the “Biggest Giver” contest, the first 200 people to donate a canned and/or non-perishable item will receive an autographed photo from a current Falcons player. Also, Falcons alumni Ray Buchanan and Michael Haynes will be on site signing autographs from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
